She takes the chocolate from me, eating some without a thanks. I mentally shrug my shoulders, had I expected any less? She was still Maeve, it wasn't like having sex with her would make some great shift in her character. "Welcome." I reply, nodding my head slightly as I looked back at the clock. Five minutes. I roll my blue eyes towards the ceiling. "Nope." I say bluntly, popping the 'p'. Maybe that was what added to my prestige and new found boasting- the fact I hadn't used a condom; it seemed most of Maeve's past lovers had. Maybe that was it, but who knew. I shrug mentally as she goes on to say she'd taken a pill, so no chance of a child. Fine with me- I didn't want one anyway. I was way too young- I had my whole life ahead of me. A child would throw a kink into all my college plans.

[font-corbel]Maeve nodded and absently drug a hand down her sleek ponytail. Of course he didn't. It was surprising. She put her legs back down and leaned on the seat behind her. A couple of girls passed her and the word 'slut' was almost shouted by one of them. Maeve bristled, but she clenched her fist and didn't say anything. She wouldn't enjoy the drama right now, it was to close to class. And she really didn't think she'd have good footing on the bleachers anyway. Instead she turned and gave them a fake smile, flipping the bird with her perfectly manicured finger. Bitches.. She mumbled, pulling another kiss out of her bag. Another came out with it and she turned to offer it to Barret. Surely he liked chocolate. Everyone did.

I glance over at the girl's who passed, their eyes flicking from me to Maeve. One of them pretty much shouted 'slut' at her and before I could say or do anything she had flipped them the bird. I chuckle like a little kid who had just heard a bad word, but attempt to hide it by rubbing my hand over my mouth and averting my gaze. I shake my head, pulling my upper lip up in a look of distaste as Maeve offers me a chocolate kiss. "I don't like chocolate, caramel and toffee is more my thing." I explain with a small shrug of my broad shoulders. I turn my blue eyes back over to where Jon was standing with Ashley. Well, not standing. More like making out. I roll my blue eyes, turning my eyes from them to give them a tad bit of privacy- couples these days.

Maeve took the chocolate and cuddled it against her breast. How could he not like chocolate? She whispered something to the kiss and popped in her mouth with a look at Bear. You weirdo. Do you see any toffee kisses around here? She asked, waving the cane of chocolate in his face. It struck her that this was the most she'd talked to someone after a normal one night (or gym period) stand. Out of the corner of her eye, she watched him. What would have happened if she had a baby? Well, surely she'd be on her own. It wasn't something she'd touch with a barge pole. For more than the fact she didn't want to think about a kid, but because there was no way she could be pregnant and her mother would literally kill her if she found out. Maeve put the chocolate cane in her bag almost sadly. Thank God she was the lucky type.

I roll my eyes as she protectively holds the candy cane to her chest. I scoff and shake my head. "I have expensive taste." I reply sarcastically, sticking out my tongue at Maeve playfully. It was odd, talking to her after sex, but I was the type who went with the flow and took things in stride. Surely she wouldn't have a baby- she said she'd taken the pill, right? Yeah, so no baby for us. I didn't want one, anyway; it would ruin my plans for the future- college and beyond. I mentally shake my head- why dwell on impossible possibilities? I glance at the clock- three minutes until class starts and still no sign of Coach. But, he'd probably jsut send us into the lockerroom anyway. I shoulder my bag and stand, starting past Maeve. "Going to change, if Coach asks tell him I'm here." I toss over my shoulder, starting down the steps. A couple girls whisper as I pass, a few guys giving me envious glances.

Maeve watched Bear go and returned the several stares she got coldly. Once a little peace was left to her, she pulled out the chocolate and ate another kiss before shamefully sticking them back in her bag. Coach walked in the gym not long after Bear had left. His eyes immediately traveled to Maeve and he looked around the gym. Where's Barrett? He directed the question at her. Maeve narrowed her eyes. The rumors had even spread to the teachers. Stupid kids probably didn't shut their mouth when one walked by. He went to change. She said coolly, crossing her legs. The coach chuckled and turned back to calling row. Dick, Maeve thought automatically. It wasn’t like this one incident alone promoted her a whore or slut, yet it seemed she got more looks and scathing words tossed at her, Was Bear that big a deal to the female population of the school? Did that many girls really want something from him? Possibly, though the knowledge would only make her feel more privy to strut around school. She’d gotten something some girls would die for with hardly any work, and no consequences to follow. Luck had her back after all.

I start down the row of bleachers to the doors that lead to the locker room and pull them open and walk down the short hallway to the unlocked locker room door- it was barely ever locked. Though, it should be; plenty of people had sex back here and stuff, but whatever. It shuts behind me and I stride over to twist the lock back and forth before finally it opens. I slide it off and open the door, sitting on the bench and tossing my Sperrys in, followed by my shirt. I pull my black tank top over it and slide my jeans off and pull on my orange and black mesh shorts. I toss my bookbag and gym bag into my locker, locking it back before sitting down on the bench to pull on my Nike sneakers. I breeze out of the locker room and down the hallway and back into the gym, meeting the crowd of people making their way in and I nonchalantly hold the door open for them as they go by.

Maeve started down the bleachers towards the girls locker room after a long roll call and explanation of the days activities. Basketball. At least it wasn't kickball. Now that, was a sport she refused to play. As she walked in front of the bleachers, she looked up to catch Ashley watching her. The black haired girl smiled and tucked hugged her arms to her sides. Something was wrong. But when Maeve started up, Ashley shook her head and made the motion to shoo her away. 'Later', she mouthed. After a few seconds, Maeve turned and went to the locker room, putting on her standard clothes: a red shirt that had been cut down the sides to made large arm holes and black board shorts. She left her bag in the locker room and walked out, pulling down the hem of shorts before jogging to the court. Coach Lewis watched her. Maeve turned and crossed her arms. Her eyes found Bear holding the door open for people and when she caught his eyes, a board expression caught her face. It'd be really awkward if he saw her making googly eyes at him.

As the stream of people slow I finally step out and onto the court, heading towards where the rest of the class was gathered. We were playing basketball today- or at least that's what the ball told me. I stand on the side with the guys, my blue eyes looking over some on the girls before flicking to Maeve and then to Coach. He was explaining the rules- some really complicated list that he had probably come up with himself. I heave s sigh and walk to the other side of the court as he splits us into teams. My team was fairly good- Josh, Will, Jon, and Maeve. Of course she would be put on my team. Caoch catches my eye with a wink and I pretend not to have seen him and he calls me up for the toss, which I easily win over the much shorter Chris.
