I step up to the bouncer, showing him my ID. He nods once, stamping my hand. I stride into Fyree after tugging the door open, the lights flashing overhead and some bubbly pop song playing over the stereo. No. That would most certainly not work. I pull out my wallet, ordering a beer before extracting a one for the music player. I would get this place going, definitely. I flash a smile at the bartender and he gives me an odd look, but I'm already moving on, through the crowd to make it to the wall. I insert my bill and the screen lights up. I tap in 'The Limousines' and tap Get Sharp to be after this pop song ended. Next comes Hurricane by Panic! At The Disco, Smells Like Teen Spirit by Nirvana, and Half The Truth by the Kaiser Chiefs. I turn, taking a sip from my bottle and head back through the crowd to make my way back to the bar. Once there, I lean casually against the wall to scope out the room. Gyrating girls, hip thrusts, meaty hands touching certain areas; the usual. I knew one thing: I had to get into it. The opening bars of Get Sharp comes over the speakers and I set my beer on the counter before practically diving into the melee, dark brown eyes searching for a dance partner. No one suitable -yet- so I pumped my fist into the air with the beat, a broad grin spread across my full mouth. Song; Link Outfit; pants, shirt, shoes

Bright lights, smokey air, and overly zealous half-tipsy dancers lined the floor of the club. It might be an undesirable scene for most, but Gwendolyn was more than happy to be here. She'd been here for an hour or so now, happily dancing to any song that happened to blare across the speakers. She'd come to the club alone, quickly establishing herself with a drink at the front of the dance floor just shortly after arriving. Though her drink had long since run out, Gwen still remained on the dance floor, moving to the music as it shifted between various genres.
She was never picky when it cam to music, able to find a beat to dance to almost anything. The DJ tonight had been favoring pop music, with the last six or seven songs all being variations of the genre. So, as the last notes of whatever Kesha song ended, the new music was a welcomed change. Gwendolyn happily moved to the music, swaying out of the front for just a moment and into the nearby crowd. She scanned the nearby people, hoping for someone at least half as enthusiastic as she to dance with her. She'd never been a shy girl, nor did she truly require the company of others but, dancing was twice as fun when you had someone to enjoy it with. So, Gwen was hoping to stumble into someone now that the club was actually starting to get a bit more lively. [/blockquote]

My jumping and dancing soon slows a tad as I tire, but my dark brown eyes were still scoping out the room, flicking from girl to girl, guy to guy. No one really stood out, until my eyes landed on a brunette. She didn't seem overly spectacular, but she had a certain vibe about her that pricked my natural curiosity. I make my way across the dance floor to her, stopping to catch an obviously drunk girl as she stumbles. She moves to plant a slobbery kiss on my freckled cheek but I'm already gone, moving towards the girl. Soon I'm near enough to touch her and I stop, pretending to have just moved over to dance in a more open spot. "Cut in line right to the best part, best part. Won't be long until we're dead hard, dead hard." I sing along, chuckling. I pull up my sagging skinny jeans- how could I have forgotten a belt? But, I had more important things to worry about- like how best to seduce that girl that was now beside me. (sorry this took so long!)

Most potential dance partners were already seemingly drunk, which really limited the amount of dancing that any of them could really do. This made Gwen scan on by them, hoping to find someone that was at least half as into this as she was. It didn't take much to get her drunk, due to her small build, so she had stayed away from drinking tonight, save for one drink. She loved to dance, and much preferred that over drunken stumbling around the club.
She was just about to give up hope on a suitable dance partner when a boy seemed to weave his way through the crowd to the area she was in. He seemed enthused about the song, instantly grabbing her attention. Gwen was happy to dance along beside him. He was cute, in an odd sort of way. "Favorite song of yours?" He seemed into it, and she could appreciate that. Although she didn't know the real words to the song, she was happy to try to hum along with the tune, getting rather into the music. [/blockquote]

I let out a small huff as I push my black bangs back from my face; they weren't extraordinarily long, but just long enough to be annoying whenever I moved around too much, like when I danced.. which was all the time. I was one of those people who couldn't sit still during the best of times, and when there was a good beat.. no holding me back. "Huh? Oh, yeah." I ask, turning my dark mocha gaze to the girl at her question as if I hadn't been waiting for her to say something to me. "The Limousines are great, haven't you heard them before?" I ask in mild surprise, raising my eyebrows at her questioningly. My jumping to the beat slowed, or at least became less-energetic. Now I had her attention, was there really a need to continue showing off? Well, I wanted to keep her attention, but most of the other guys were already drunk and very unappealing. I'd had enough sense not to get totally wasted from the get-go, that could come later. "I'm Harrison, but people call me Harry." I add, smiling at her happily as I introduce myself. I glance around as the song changes to Hurricane. "Shall I get you a drink?" I ask, offering her my arm to lead her through the crowd back to the bar.

The boy seemed almost caught off guard by her comment, which caused Gwen to smile. She was never a shy one, and he seemed througholy into it. She couldn't help but to notice him. "I'm sure I probably have. It's a nice change from another overplayed Kesha song," A light smirk lacing her lips, she shrugged. She hadn't heard that exact song before, but, there again, she spent most of her time at the club wasted or so into the music that she didn't know what she was listening to. Maybe she had heard it.
"Gwendolyn. You can call me whatever, but I tend to stick to Gwen." She pushed one of the locks of hair that she hadn't pinned back behind her before she linked arms with the boy she now knew as Harry. "Sure, can't pass up the opportunity for a free drink." Winking, she let a light laugh escape her lips. She was mostly joking, but it would be nice to have someone to pal with for the night. [/blockquote]

A slight, crooked smile works it way onto my mouth as she speaks and I let out a short chuckle. "I'll drink to that! Amen!" I crow, nodding my head enthusiastically. I didn't have anything against Ke$ha -she was actually pretty hot- but.. she was everywhere. You couldn't get away from the mainstream stuff, which bothered me. Why not listen to a little-heard song every once in a while? Or was it mainly about pleasing the masses? My thoughts are derailed from this as she introduces herself as Gwendolyn- of just Gwen. I nod, committing this to memory, as she laces her arm through mine. "Once again, a woman after my own heart." I say, nodding knowingly as I led her through the crowd. It almost seems to part like the Red Sea around us and I lean casually against the bar counter. Bud Lite for me, and what would Gwen like?" I tell the bartender, pausing to look at my company musingly as I waited for her to order her own drink- didn't want to seem inhospitable. Or upset her in any way before I'd really gotten a chance to turn on the charm.
