Loreli River Matthews was a sometimes simple girl. She didn’t take very long to put on her minimal makeup and scrunch her wet hair into soft waves. She had a raging headache and the medicine she had taken for it decided to not kick in. First off she hadn’t gotten into bed until late, because she had been too busy writing a paper. It had thundered all night keeping her up. She sorely wished she was one of those people who could sleep through storms, but unfortunately she wasn’t. Now, she was headed to the auditorium to hopefully dance away some of her headache.
Pushing open the doors to the auditorium she took a deep breath with a smile. This was her home away from home. She had been traveling back and forth between here, home, and her dance studio. She was busy preparing for a large audition. She lifted her eyes to the stage and was happy to see that no one was here, at least from what she could see, so she dropped her dance bag on the stage and dug through the fifty trillion pairs of shoes until she found her pointe shoes.
Putting her headphones in she carefully prepared her feet before slipping into her shoes. She warmed up carefully. As she was dancing she began to think about why she was here in the first place, at the school that is. She came to talk to her ex and she hadn’t seen him at all, nonetheless gotten to talk to him. Then that was normal; they hadn’t really talked since the breakup, which could cause some major problems when they actually did talk, and how exactly did she tell him that she had dated someone else. Which caused her to think about if he was dating anyone. She wondered how she would handle it if he was. A noise caught her attention causing her to stumble and teeter to the floor. As she gave a slight huff she pushed herself off the ground and grabbed her water bottle. "Hello?" Looking out into the audience she scrunched her eyes at the dark auditorium, vaguely seeing a figure moving around. Then again it could just be her eyes playing tricks on her and she was just being stupid.

Tyson picked up his phone and frowned. It was already ten thirty and his sister wasn't there. He stood from his sitting position, grabbing his Starbucks on the way up. After a quick text telling Ashley not to worry, Ty threw his bag over his shoulder and pushed a hand through is hair. Surely she wouldn't get mad at him. But she was also unstable. He sighed and shut his apartment door behind him. Perhaps a dance would be good for him. The old blue ford grumbled and moaned as he turned the key. He pulled the foam dice from his rear view mirror and tossed them in the back seat. They always seemed to get in his way. He drove at a slower pace towards the school auditorium, taking all the back roads. Truth was as he pulled out of his driveway dancing didn't seem like a fun idea anymore. Maybe sitting and pulling out Macbeth for it's fifth read suited him more. Even if he was considered a popular kid, Ty put his brains far before any school ranking. As he pulled into the school parking lot, he decided spur of the moment to grab the old hardcover book and his Starbucks. The school was almost completely empty. Ty found the auditorium easily and he slipped inside it's huge oak doors, taking a deep breath of the air. He could live only smelling his air. The stage was light and a figure twirled below. He watched the feminine for a minute before moving towards the fifth row up. It was hidden enough she wouldn't be able to see him unless she really looked, but so that he could watch her dance comfortably. Ty turned into the row and bumped the chair, causing a echo to thunder through the auditorium. He looked up, almost knocking his coffee over. She'd noticed him. "Uh, sorry. I like to read here every now and then.. it's quiet. Normally." Chuckling, he moved further towards the stage so she could see him.

Loreli squinted into the audience and saw an guy standing there. His words drifted toward her with a chuckle and she shook her head lightly. "I see..." She hummed lightly. "Well I guess i'm disturbing your peace and quiet?" She chuckled. Sitting down she began to undo her pointe shoes, but stopped. Why should she get out of his way? She was here first. She didn't recognize the boy, but that was probably because she didn't think that he was in her grade.
"Hopefully I won't bother you if I continue?" She asked with a soft smile. Loreli was awkward around people ever since she moved back. They all stared at her like they didn't understand why she came back, or they were judging her. It wasn't like she wanted to come back here. Her parents, the idiots they were, forced her. She hadn't wanted to come back to school at all. She could have gotten a jump start on her dancing career. She could have moved to New York and auditioned to be in the big time. She could have done so many other things besides come back to a school where everyone and their mother hated her. It wasn't like she had been off doing drugs... okay, maybe a little of that, but no one knew exactly what she had been doing. Loreli was pretty sure that is what was bothering everyone about it all. That they had no idea exactly what happened.
Loreli began to get up, but realized just how rude she had sounded. Turning back towards him she tried to smile and let him know that she wasn't trying to be hateful. "I'm sorry, that sounded rude. My names Loreli, but everyone calls me River..." Or the girl who had a mental breakdown. "This seems like a very nice place to read." This was the moment when she tried to awkwardly start a conversation and the person usually just ignored her or tried to duck out of the conversation as quickly as possible. Loreli just wanted someone to be able to talk to. [/blockquote]

Tyson began to shake his head. No, she wasn't disturbing any peace, quiet maybe. He'd read in nosier rooms than an auditorium with one dancer. And anyway, he wouldn't want to kill her dancing time. It had happened to him plenty enough to know what the feeling was like. Ty shook his head again. No, go ahead. You aren't bothering me. He smiled and walked towards the first row of seats, sitting in one and stretching his legs across the arm rest of another. A few sentences passed and the girls voice rang out again. He looked up. River? Wasn't that the girl all of his friends always hated on? Well, if it was he didn't see a reason for them too. The girl on the stage was beautiful, unlike the 'dirty' girl they'd all talked about. Ty mentally shrugged. Even if she was, he couldn't judge a person by what other people said. Ty laughed. It wasn't rude. Nice to meet you, River. I'm Tyson, but unlike the chicken company. People call me Ty.He smiled and shrugged. Sometimes he liked to read here; normally he danced. But it would have been worse, and more awkward, for both of them if he'd gone up and started mindlessly moving across stage. He was increasingly glad he brought Macbeth. It is, though better suited for just getting away. He added a smile so it didn't seem so 'pity me' like. It really wasn't, Ty was the last person to play pity on. He had a rich family, good grades, high chances at college and all the friends he wanted at his disposal. No, it wasn't easily stumbled upon for someone to pity him.

Loreli glanced Tyson over, or Ty as he had mentioned. He seemed cool enough, cute even. Nice. She was taken aback by the kind vibes that were echoing off him. The Macbeth book in his hand shocked her even more. "This is the most perfect place to get away." She muttered in response wrapping her arms around her waist. Suddenly she felt embarassed and naked in her sports bra and shorts, wishing she hadn't discarded the light orange shirt she had on before. "Do you dance?" She asked lightly trying to keep her thoughts off the fact that she probably looked like a complete skank sitting here with her entire mid driff showing.
He didn't look like someone who danced, but then again you could never really tell. Lowering herself to the ground, she began to untie her point shoes deciding to trade them for her jazz shoes and hopefully do something a little more normal. Her dream was to get into a dance theatre company close by, but of course the audition was coming up and she didn't feel like she was prepared enough after not dancing for so over four months while she was away "at an internship" or that's what her parents told all their rich and classy friends at least. In reality, she was off dealing with her effed up feellings and having a shit ton of meds shoved down her throat.
She was worried that when people would find out they would be worried, but that's just who she was. It was a part of her. She was completely normal now. Everything was back to the way they used to be, except now she had no friends and people were afraid she was going to fly off the handle. This Tyson, though, he didn't look like he wanted to go running for the hills. He was acting perfectly fine with her and she didn't know how to react. Pulling her jazz shoes on she eyed him suspiciously from beneath her lashes before taking another drink of water and pretending to be distracted by the hem of her shorts.
