She moved quietly, black combat boots making soft scuffs agaisnt the floor of the library, the place she tended to retreat to once the bell for lunch rang. Her bright blue eyes scanned the shelves as she found an isle decently away from anyone, away from the noise. She sat down, crossing her legs as she ran her fingers over the tight black fabric that hugged her slender legs. She leaned her back agaisnt the wall and a smirk fell on her pale lips. She took a book from her backpack "The catcher In The Rye" most would think she was doing school work, suffering through the book. She loved it actually, she felt like it was real, not overly complex and something that you could relate to. She smiled a small bit, her gaze softened as she read the words on the page, holding the book with one hand. She slowly moved to place her earbuds in her ears, pressing play on the small black mp3 player she kept at all times. Hip Bone Wishes by one of her favorite singers blared back at her. She let her eyes skim the book, trying to make the words go through easier. She sighed as she ran her fingers through her silky pale hair, trying to relax and calm herself down, she hated the anxiety that school brought on, she just wanted to sit down and relax. She hadnt ever really been one to be social or to even like others much, but she had made a class effort this year. Havent rp'd like this in over a year, this will get better

I pull open the door to the library, striding over to the librarian's desk that was situated in the corner. She nods at me after I place my two books on the counter before turning to head into the stacks. What did I want? Mystery? Sci-Fi? Fiction? Nonfiction? I make a 'hm' noise in the back of my throat, pulling out For Whom The Bell Tolls by Ernest Hemingway. I tuck it under my arm, putting a single black ear bud into my ear as I walk out of the aisle and down another. "I've really been on a bender and it shows, So why don't you blow me... a kiss before she goes?" I sing under my breath, a wry smirk crossing my mouth. I start down another aisle, blue eyes running over title after title. "Give me a shot to remember, And you can take all the pain away from me. A kiss and I will surrender, The sharpest lives are the deadliest to lead." I continue, sidestepping and promptly stepping on something. I look down and start, noticing the blonde girl. "Oh my god, I'm sorry!" I blurt, eyes wide. Well. I'd just fucked that up. "I really didn't see you." I add, a frown tugging at my lips.

She had decided to simply close the book, sighing once before she closed her own eyes. She listened to the music fill through her before she felt a foot. A Foot. She opened her eyes slowly, her gaze on her legs before she trailed it up to the foot, up the leg and up the thigh. She let her eyes stop at the persons stomach for a moment before moving her gaze up to the face. Her face was blank, not a frown or a hint of a smile there. She looked at the male for several seconds, blinking very slowly before she finally took one earbud from her ear and spoke, her voice soft and quiet. "It's Fine... Im Easy To Miss." Her words had a very clipped tone to them, as if speaking was a chore and it bothered it, but they didnt sound hostile or rude at all. She took her closed book and slid it into the black messenger bag next to her. She looked at him for a few moments longer before she shrugged to herself, looking back down at her black torn jeans, her fingers gently moved over some of the shredded fabric, as if straightening it out. She was thinking, her mind raced. "What Kind Of Idiot Fucking Steps On A Person, Then Claims He Didnt see Them... Idiot... Simple Idiot"

Her eyes very slowly raise to mine and my face reddens, I felt like a total buffoon. How had I not noticed her? Well, my music was jammin' and I was on the hunt for a book. Good excuse, right? No, it was probably the worst fucking reason of all time.. but the truth was better than a lie, right? Her face stays expressionless, bored, even. "No, no. It's not that." I fumble, shaking my head quickly, my maroon dyed bangs falling into my face. I push them out of my eyes with a slight huff. I look down at my converse before turning back to the stacks, my blue eyes flying over the titles of Stephen King books. "Look, I'm sorry, its not, like, the end of the world or something. Just an accident." I say, shrugging my shoulders slightly. I pick a hefty book off the shelf before turning to go; I probably still had time to eat lunch before I had to go back to class. (sorry it sucks)

She looked to the ground harder and then finally she decided to be unlike herself. She sighed as she stood up, looking at the boy and gave her best attempt at a half smile. " Hey, Its fine.. Im Sorry, sitting in a library was stupid." She shrugged as she ran her left hand through her hair, her blue eyes looking anywhere but at him, not to be rude, but she was simply nervous. She felt abit bad for what she had thought but she really had no idea what to say or do now, being social wasnt her thing and she was scared right now. She sighed a small bit as she rubbed her arm, waiting. (OOC: i had literally no muse for this, im sorry)

I let out a light chuckle, shrugging my shoulders. "Sitting in a library isn't stupid, not noticing someone and stepping on them is." I reply, my blue eyes glancing towards her. The dreaded Awkward Silence stretches between us and I think of a way to kill it. But, we were strangers. That was it- strangers. "I'm Rory." I say, offering her an easy smile. It was a usual of mine. I wasn't one to get my panties in a wad or ruffle anyone's feathers. I more went with the flow and didn't question anything. "You name?" I add after a couple seconds, raising my eyebrows at her questioningly. (can't be worse than this one, lol.)

She rubbed the back of her neck as she shrugged, expecting that the silence would lead only to more silence and then he would leave and consider her strange like most others did. She simple bit her lower lip, a defense of hers. She finally heard his name and a small smile graced her pale soft lips. "Shaan, Nice to meet you Rory." She acually looked him over for a few moments before that same smile crossed her lips and she slowly slid her hands into her jean pockets, trying to seem more relaxed. She let her blue eyes gaze him over and then the floor, then she truned to the isle of books, looking for anything she could use to not let the conversation die, she was trying, this guy actually seemed nice unlike most of the men here, large children and simple that, nothing more.

After I introduce myself, a small smile appears on her face and she tells me her name is Shaan. "Nice to meet you, though you may not say the same about the guy who broke your foot." I say, chuckling softly. I turn my blue gaze towards my feet, the toes of my converse reading 'My Chemical Romance' and 'Look Alive, Sunshine'. Mentally I burst into 'na na na na na', but outwardly stay silent. I didn't want my new possible friend to think I was a freak or something. "What grade are you in?" I ask, raising my eyebrows at Shaan curiously, shifting my grip on my two books. "I'm a Junior." I add, a lopsided grin spreading across my face. I free one hand to reach up and push my maroon bangs out of my face. They were always unruly, though I supposed they were supposed to be that way.

She gave a small light laugh as she shrugged, one side of her mouth tilted up in an amused look. She looked at him and rolled her eyes. "why yes, the guy who broke my foot actually, its lovely meeting him, he has beautiful hair" She gave a small chuckle before she realized exactly what she had said, her face grew a small bit red as she opened her mouth a small bit, trying to think of a way to make that sound a small bit different. She heard his other question and mentally she sighed in relief. "Senior actually." She said with a small smirk. he looked so adorable, she would have guessed he was actually younger then a junior, but hell, some people had those faces that seemed to lie.

I chuckle at her statement, a small blush creeping across my cheeks. "Damn, it's always the hair, can't be my amazing personality." I grumble, though I stick out my tongue at Shaan playfully. I nod my head slightly as she says that she'd a Senior. Of course. One cool, decent girl I meet has to be a grade ahead of me. But, whatever, she probably didn't even think of me as anything more than a possible friend. "But, I failed sixth grade, so I'm actually seventeen." I add with a slight shrug of my shoulders. Looking back on it, it made me wince to think of how stupid I'd been to fail sixth grade, but there was nothing I could do about it now. "Anyway." I add, plopping myself down on the floor and crossing my legs. I didn't like standing, I was lazy and prefered sitting. I happily pat the carpet beside me in invitation for Shaan to sit down beside me.

She gave a small chuckle as she shrugged, her eyes gleaming with excitment, her lips turned upwards in a small sultry smile. "Well i havent gotten to see this amazing personality, so could still be that." she watched him as he talked, smiling and actually paying attention. Hm, failed a grade, she was in danger of that almost every year, not that she ever had actually managed to fail She looked at him as he sat down. She raised an eyebrow and for a moment, she considered her options. She could turn and leave, playing the mystery card. She could sit down and simply talk to him, playing it safe. She could plop herself down in his lap and take charge of the situation. With a small smirk she decided on the best of those. She plopped herself down right directly next to him. She pulled her knees up to her chest and gave him another look over as she wrapped her arms around her legs, tilting her head a small bit. "Alright.. Now This... This will decide if I like you or not... favorite color?" She asked with a small chuckle, her crystal eyes not leaving him.

I roll my eyes slightly as she says that it could be my personality, though she hasn't seen it. Shaan stands for a moment in indecision before finally sitting down right beside me, her leg brushing mine. I raise my eyebrows with a chuckle at her question. "Tie between black and crimson." I reply, shrugging my shoulders slightly. "Your's?" I add, turning the question back on her. I fiddle with the books that were beside me, my blue eyes focused on her face. She really was pretty, better on second glance, now that I thought about it. I absentmindedly wonder what she thought of me, but mentally slap myself. Pay attention to the present situation.

She raised her eyebrows in surprise as she gave a soft chuckle. "Good answer, same here actually. You now win a hug to claim whenever you would like." She gave him a playful smirk as she shook her head softly, leaning her head back to look up at the ceiling, exposing the soft flesh of her pale neck, and the small thin scars that lie there. She closed her eyes for a second, the same smile playing on her lips before she forgot exactly where she was. She dropped her gaze back straight ahead, slowly so she could avoid drawing attention to how swiftly she was willing to hide her throat. She looked over at him, her mind finally settling on a decision. He was pretty, actually very much so. She rather liked this one, especially how strange he was, he was like her in a way. The big difference was probably how they acted. He seemed alot more happy and random.

A smile passes over my face as she says that her favorite colors were the same. It broadens as Shaan goes on to say that I won a right to hug her whenever I liked. "Really?" I ask, chuckling. "Total score!" I exclaim playfully, putting my fist in the air in truimph. I laugh, pushing my bangs out of my face. I look at my lap thoughtfully as I attempt to come up with a question for her. "Favorite genre?" I ask, looking over at her. "I like horror and fiction myself, but, whatever." I continue, rambling slightly before I finally shut myself up. If I or someone else didn't stop me I could probably go on forever.

She gave a small laugh at his act of putting his fist in the air. She shook her head as she heard the question. "Oh completly horror fiction all the way. I mean come on, have you SEEN how damn evil Irish fairies are?" She give a small smile, deciding finally she wanted to be coy, she had seen most do it, written some really amazing romance stories, but she herself hadnt ever even held hands with a boy. She stood for a brief moment, running her fingers across the denim of her jeans before she looked at him and firmly plopped herself in his lap, her legs crossing over one of his thighs and her back gently leaning agaisnt his other one. She gave him a small smirk. "Ever play are you nervous?" She asked the question in such a soft and quiet voice that it really didnt match the mouth that it came out of. She loved the game, mostly because not many people could make her nervous, hence the whole point of the game. She looked him in the eyes as she once more offered up her typical smirk.
