I run a hand over my face, trying to calm my nerves before I take my keys and phone from her. I start the truck and I'm looking in the side mirror to see if any cars were coming when Sierra's lips press to my cheek and I freeze for a moment before deciding not to make anything of it. I pull away from the curb before slowing at a stop sign. "Directions might also be helpful.. and my soda." I say, randomly tossing a hand back for her to place my can in it, my fingers anxiously tapping along the steering wheel.

I roll my eyes and take a sip of his soda before giving it to him. I really didn't care what he thought of me so nothing was really going to faze me. "It's right past the clinic after you take a left," I say, not giving full detail. He should know where the clinic was; nearly everyone did. I rest my head on the side of his seat and blow at his hair, trying my best to get on his nerves. Most people said it was how I flirted but I really didn't think it was. I was a flirt but I tended to stay my distance from most people.

I don't notice her take a sip of my soda and take it from her, bringing it to my lips before dropping it into the cup holder, taking a right. "That really is annoying." I grumble, leaning forward as if that would make Sierra stop blowing at my hair. "I can drop you off at your house, too." I add, glancing back at her as I pull up to another stop sign before going straight, soon passing the clinic and pulling into the parking lot. "Little late, though." I sigh, cutting my truck off.

I smile slightly and shrug. "That was the whole idea," I confess before pulling Sam into my arms and opening the door once we stop. "Not so sure about dropping me off. Ray might get me to watch her for a while," I say with a shrug as I climb out and walk inside the office. I see Ray sitting on the couch and I ruffle his greying hair as I hand him Sam. He walks to the back to give her a check up and Casper, the only white husky I have ever seen, walks out and tries to jump on me. "Hey, big man!" I say, ruffling his fur before I notice him growling at Eric. I roll my eyes and kiss his head. "Don't worry. He's just waiting on his dog," I say, watching as he looks between us before walking away.

I chuckle and shake my head as she replies that was why she was doing it before watching closely as Sierra grabbed Sam. "Don't drop her." I pester, following her across the parking lot. I cross my arms over my chest as, who I assume is Ray, takes Sam from Sierra to take her back and I look down at my feet, hating that I was just standing here. "Don't know whats wrong with him, dogs usually like me." I say, shaking my head for a moment before plopping down into a chair and pulling out my phone to look at it before setting it in the chair to my left.

I look back as he says that dogs usually like him and smile. "He's always been over-protective. Especially since I was pratically his mother; delivered him, fed him," I say with a shrug. I smile slightly as he pulls out his phone and look back. It was time for my shift. "I'll be back," I say, walking to the back, my shirt already over my head when I told him I was going. I pull on my coat and pull my hair up so only the white was showing. My makeup is soon scrubbed off and I look in the mirror, looking much different from myself. I put on my glasses before I walk out and stand behind the desk, signing Eric in though he had no scheduled appointment.

I don't reply as she explains and I nod, fidgeting with the hem of my polo as I glance back up as Sierra excuses herself, her bare back showing before she disappeared through a door. A blush creeps across my face, though it was mainly covered by my beard, and had since faded since Sierra came back, looking like a total different person. "Excuse me, miss, who are you and what have you done with Sierra?" I ask, getting up to walk over to the front desk and peer at her before chuckling. Inside, I was worrying voer Sam, but I was trying to act like her being sick didn't affect me as much as it did.

I roll my eyes when I come out and he asks me what I've done with Sierra. "Well, around here, I'm Vonnie. Some nickname that got dragged from the grave," I say, shrugging. I turn to look at the clock before settling down in the chair and looking up at him. "Since I'm now having to be receptionist, is there anything I could get you, Mr. Eric?" I ask, having to act like a civilized person. Casper walked back out and looked up at me before laying down on his small bed in the corner. I stand up and walk to the back, bending over to grab some papers for Eric. I knew that anybody in the room could see my ass and frankly, I didn't give a shit at the moment. I was more worried about Sam than I thought I would be.

I roll my blue eyes at her nickname and set my phone on the table in front of me, randomly scrolling through my contacts before closing it. "Mr. Sutton, to you." I reply, sticking out my tongue at Sierra playfully. It was taking all I had not to ask how Sam was doing- she wouldn't know. I glance back at my phone before looking up a couple moments later to see where Sierra had gotten to and my eyes widen for a moment. "Vonnie is quite the sexy receptionist.. nurse.. lady." I say, soon hating myself for saying anything in the first place. I duck my head, knowing I had just stepped way out of line. She was my student, though I already knew her better than the rest. She seemed like a real person to me.

I roll my eyes and shrug. "Not while I'm working. I'm forced to use first names," I say, sticking my tongue out at him before I catch his words. I roll my eyes again but giggle lightly. "Vonnie might be but Sierra isn't," I say with a shrug. For me, I was playing a character throughout my life. Vonnie was one person and Sierra was just the actress. I smile when he ducks his head and lift it up to lightly kiss his cheek before walking to the small room Sam had been taken into. I look in to see that they were going to have to do a surgery and frown. I hide my frown and walk back to the desk and put the papers in order before handing them to Eric on a clipboard. "Now, be a dear and fill out this information," I say with a smile before sitting down and petting Casper.

I shrug silently as she went on about Vonnie and Sierra, not meeting her gaze. She probably thought I was some sort of creep now; and I really couldn't blame her. I blink as she lifts my head up to kiss my cheek and I blink once, blue eyes following her for a moment. I really didn't know what was going on here, and I didn't know how I felt about it. "Yes ma'am." I reply, straightening to pull up my pants before leaning back against the counter, taking the pen in my hand as my blue eyes skimmed the words. "Mmmmm. Heterosexual, seven inches." I say, writing on the paper, though I was actually filling out the correct information. She hadn't blown a fuse at the accidental compliment, so I hoped she wouldn't go weird at that.

I smile slightly and walk to the back until I hear him speak and I can't help but burst into giggles for a bit. "I had no clue we finally added that question," I say, smiling as I looked over at him. I pull out another packet and toss it on a clipboard just in case and walk to the computer to check up on what went on today. My eyes glance up to Eric every now and then before I look down at Casper. I had raised him by making clicks, being one of the best things I did. I click my tongue and he walks out of the room and I smile slightly before bending over to grab his bed and bring it to the back for a wash.

"Personal questions on this thing." I complain, shaking my head though there was a smirk on my face. "Single." I add, writing down my pet's name. "This better not ask my weight." I grumble, continuing it put the rgiht information even though I was cracking jokes. I pause and tap my pen on the counter, blue eyes running over what I had already filled in before recapping the pen and looking around for Sierra. "I filled out the papers." I call, brushing my hair out of my face before picking up my phone and fidgeting with it.

I smile as he complains and shrug. "What can I say? We like to get to know our patients," I say smiling before I stuff the bed in the washer, turning it on. I hear him call and walk out, taking the papers and sitting at the desk, and typing it into the computer. I look up for a minute before pulling out my phone and looking at it before setting it beside me. I see that he missed to put his phone number and smile slightly. "You forgot to put your number," I say, sticking out my tongue before typing in what I had remembered off the page. I glance up with a smile before saving what I had.

"The only thing you didn't ask me was was my middle name." I chuckle, shaking my head ebfore sticking out my tongue at Sierra. I huff and take the clipboard back and scrawl both my home number and cell number onto the page before handing it back, twisting my rings around my finger before finally slipping them off, the U showing. It didn't really matter though, I wasn't at school- I never wore the rings except when I was on campus. I reach for my Dr. Pepper, which I had also set on the counter and takea sip before setting it back down.
