Twyla stared mutely at the brilliant red stain on her carpet, then up at her mother. Her drunken mother gripped the bed post, knuckles white from the strain.. An empty wine glass dangled from her fingers. She giggled and looked down at the stain. “Oops.” Another drunken giggle. Twyla clenched her teeth against all the words she wanted to say. Instead, she pushed her mother out of her room and slammed the door. Outside, her mother knocked gently and inconsistently. “We can clean it up, it’ll come right out, baby.” She slurred. Twyla heard a loud thump. Her mother either fell, or she was leaning against the door. Even if it was rude, she wished the former. Across the room, her Newfoundland jumped up, whining. Ol’ Moose, always reliable. Twyla sighed and ran her fingers through the dog’s thick brown fur. “How about a trip to the park, hm?” She asked, touching her nose to his. He bumped his nose as if to say yes. Smiling, Twyla grabbed his leash and snapped it to his collar after sliding on a pair of jeans and throwing a shirt over her white tank top. Her shoes were downstairs, most likely. A short five minute walk later, she stood facing the skate park with Moose standing beside her. Even if she could skate for nothing, she liked running up the ramps to sit up top and look across the skate part. All the bodies seemed to fly up and down; it was like watching waves, but with people. If only the beach were closer to her house. She got to one of the tallest ramps and took off her shoes, running as hard as she could up the slope. With ease, she pulled herself up to sit on the flat top. Moose was shortly after, having no problems jumping to her. Twyla unhooked his leash and coiled it behind her, leaning back on her palms and crossing her legs. “I hate wine. I hate cleaning. I hate drunks.” She muttered in sequence, ticking them off with her fingers. Moose barked, his agreement. Twyla chuckled and put her head on his freshly washed brown coat. It was soft and smelled a tiny bit like oranges.

"I don't get why one of the biggest ramps is in the fucking corner of the park." I grumble as Alex and I roll towards it. "Get over it." he replies and I gasp in mock offense, reaching over to slap his cheek playfully. His arm snakes out to push me and I jump off my board, taking off running into the middle of the ramp. He chases after me and we go tumbling onto the scuffed wood. "Gerroff." I laugh as Alex lands on top of me. He cuts off any further protest by smashing his lips to mine. I pause for a moment before kissing him back. I hadn't seen that one coming, he'd always acted completely straight. Though I'd never actually just asked him.. I wrap my arms around his neck, running my hands through his black hair. It was a welcome turn of events, if anything. Alex: click Harry's Outfit: click2

Twyla looked across the park. Moose curled his huge body around her. It was nice having a dog that was amlost bigger than herself. She looked ay her phone, ignoring another phone call from her mom. Below her, she beard a loud thump and laughter. Thoughts immediately entered her mind, but she pushed them away and looked down. She saw a mess of black hair and a body. Well, two bodies. Twyla narrowed her eyes and as she processed the imagine, her mind spun. Two guys making out. That shouldn't have surprised her. Guys were gay sometimez, but not so publically most times. Twyla slid down the ramp on her no-show socks and came to a graceful stop a few inches from the two boys. She bonked the one on top with her shoe lightly and popped her hands on her hips. "Could it bother you two to get a room?" She said, brushed theflying strands of purple hair behind her ear. Her behavior surprised her. Normally Twyla avoided people who might go to her school; who knew when the next 'go die' would be fired her way. .

My dark brown eyes open as he pulls back, and I prop myself up on one elbow as I looked up at the purple haired girl. I hadn't heard her approach, though I had been pretty focused on sucking face with Alex. At the thought, my gaze drifts over to him, where he was still straddling me. I come back into the present as she speaks. "Depends if you'd join us." I say cheerfully, grinning up at her before I notice the look on Alex's face. "What?" I ask innocently and he rolls his eyes. He was a guy of few words, I usually filled most of the silences between us, maybe that's why I'd been so surprised when he'd kissed me. "Flirt." he coughs and I scoff and push at him. "Speaking of which, where did that come from?" I ask, turning the tables on him and momentarily forgetting about our company. Harry's Outfit: click2

Twyla watched the two, her mouth hanging a bit open. She resisted the urge to comically shake her head. Yeah, what he said surprised her. A little bit of glaring looks and ‘go away’ was what she expected. Her eyes snapped to the one that hadn’t said anything and she narrowed her exotic eyes. It didn’t really seem like he was flirting with her after sucking face with him. Though, the one looked more surprised than the other. She half-wondered if one didn’t know the other was gay. At that moment, Moose barked and skidded down the ramp towards her. The sound his toe nails made across the slick surface made her cringe. Moose barked again and nudged the back of her leg, his tail wagging wildly. What? She murmured squatting to rub his ears. He dragged his tongue across her cheek and she chuckled, ruffling his fur before turning back to the two boys. Where- Twyla let her voice fade as she realized he wasn’t talking to her. Well, leave it to Moose to save her even when she didn’t know she needed to be saved. She felt a little odd standing there, evading their privacy, but Twyla really didn’t care to run back up the ramp and embarrass herself in front of them either. So she stayed, looking across the park while keeping an eye and ear on them.

I look up at the girl for a little longer before looking back at Alex and raising an eyebrow. "Mmm?" I ask, sitting up and using my elbows to hold me. "I, uh, I." he starts, looking away for a moment. "You're gay." I state simply, and he nods. "Why didn't you tell me this before?" I huff, bringing a hand up to brush my hair out of my face. He shrugs, looking away for a moment and I look back at the purple haired girl. "Oh, I'm Harrison, or Harry. And my friend here is Alex." I say, a grin crossing my face as I look over at her. He coughs and I roll my eyes, fully sitting up and pulling him onto my lap. "Big dog." I state, looking over at them as he walked over, tongue running over her cheek and I make a face.

Twyla looked at them and nodded with what she hopped was a pleasant smile. But when he made a face after Moose 'kissed' her cheek, she laughed. Maybe he didn't' like dogs. She stood up and gathered her hair over one shoulder. Everyone looks at me that way. His mouth's supposed to be cleaner than ours. She pulled a corner of her mouth up and looked down at them. Twyla. Nice too meet you two. Moose took this an invitation to lay all over Alex, who was sitting on Harrison. His tongue lolled over the side of his mouth and he rolled on his back to look up at the two boys. Twyla laughed and attempted to call Moose off, but only a strangled sound mutilated by laughing came out. Finally, she breathed and got a serious face. I hope you like dogs, 'cause he likes you. She quirked a smile. Ah, they were cute.

"I've honestly never believed that." I state, shaking my head and looking over at Alex. I still didn't know what to make of the side of him that had suddenly came into the light- I'd always been open with him, so why not him with me? But, some people just weren't comfortable with telling people they were gay, so I wouldn't make a big deal about it. I look over as her dog comes over to lay on top of us and I let out a grunt from all the weight on me. "Your name's pretty." I huff, pushing my hair out of my face as Moose rolled over. Alex lets out a squeak and pushes at the dog though he doesn't budge. I scoot back, trying to get out from under both of them before just flopping back onto my back in defeat. "Help." I implore, looking over at Twyla and poking my lower lip out.
