Blue-grey eyes scanned the park slowly, surprised that there weren't many people around, tha there were no kids on the playground. It looked like they were adding more swings though, so maybe the playground was closed. Zacharias couldn't have been happier with that thought. No touchy-feely kids? He smiled to himself, murmuring under his breath, and glanced at his old notebook and the pencil Colton had given him when he'd last seen them the other night. He had lost his somewhere on his walk beforereturning to them. Rubbing at the gaps in his chest beneath his black V neck, he picked at a hole in his ratty purple skinny jeans and sat down under the slide, resting his back against the latter. Because Zach didn't always tag along with the other two, he often refused to take money for them. He'd bring them food when they needed it, and if it really came down to needing a new pair of clothes, he'd steal them, maybe snatch a few quarters and go wash his own. As it was, he only had socks on, and they were worn down to holes on the bottoms. Getting comfortable in the woodchips, Zach opened up his spiral notebook, smiling down at the backwards writing, written right to left as if in a reflection. "It's quiet.." He whispered. "Nobody's here to bother you.." He smiled again, then frowned and scratched his head, keeping his mouth shut as he intently began to write.

I walked through the park, glancing around. It was too quiet here and the only thing that seemed to be new were the swings that they were adding. I sighed to myself and continued walking before leaning against a tree, close to the slide. I fingered my pocket before pulling out my phone and scrolling through my apps until I found my note app. I typed to my hearts content before seeing someone under the slide with my perephial vision. I hadn't noticed them before but I wasn't really paying attention. I walk over, putting my phone in my pocket as I crouched down and looked at him. "Hey," I say with a sweet smile, looking him over for a second.

Zacharias jumped as he was starled from his thoughts and writing by a voice. He looked up, hadn't noticed the guy before. "Hi.." He mumbled, scooting back warily. He closed his notebook and stuck the pencil in the spiral, picking nervously at his jeans again as he lowered his gaze, finally fixed his eyes on socked feet. Zach had never been one for people, only stuck around with Colton and Trayce, but even they couldn't touch him wihout him freaking out. Colton had only done so once, and that had been by force when Zach go hit by a car. He ran fingers through the woodchips, scared to look at he male that had crouched next to the slide. At least the guy didn't sound rude or anything. But Zach worried he would if he mnew more about him. Or about what was wrong with him. It was hard to say if he'd always been that way, or if it had happened when his father struck him over the head. As it was, he didn't remember everything, some parts or his past foggy because of that.

I smiled at the guy, trying to make him feel more comfortable around me. I avert my gaze before sitting down and looking at him. "Sorry if I'm making you uncomfortable. Just trying to be friendly," I add before pulling my knees to my chest. I glance at his notebook and back up at his face, hoping I wouldn't scare him off; I would do just about anything to make anyone happy. "I like your piercings," I say, before looking at my own feet. This was one of the most awkward things I would have to go through just to get someone to like me.

"S'okay," rolled from Zach's lips without much thought. He glanced up at the compliment, smiled a bit hesitantly. "Thank..you.." He finally said uncertainly. He looked around, making sure no one else was there to startle him, too, and relaxed slightly. "Don't like people, or talking.." He admitted, shifting his weight. He could be more fun when he warmed up to someone. Maybe. He didn't really warm up to anyone anymore.

I smile as the guy finally starts to open up a little more comfortably and nod. "I understand. My name is Xavier by the way. May I ask yours?" he asked, smiling at him before running a hand through his short hair. This guy seemed quiet, unlike most people in this place. Then again, if some stranger came up to him while he was relaxing, he would have been nearly silent too. The kids wouldn't be coming here, thankfully. They were sweet, yes, but also just as annoying as someone nagging you when all you wanted to do was have fun.

Xavier. He had a name to match to the face now, smiled the slightest, only a ghost passing over his lips. "I'm Zacharias.." He offered quietly. "Or jus' Zach.." A hand brushed across his notebook slowly, protectively, though he didn't open it again. The guy didn't seem a danger at all, so Zach didn't have any reason to be uneasy. That guard fell away. Still his silence remained, considering he just wasn't a people person. Suddenly hecrawled from under the slide and got to his feet, dusting off holey purple skinny jeans, gazing down at dirty socks and scooping up the notebook. "Imma walk..you can come with.." He wasn't going to leave the park, he just needed to move around, and walking was soothing to him.

I smiled. Zach, it was a nice name though very common. I smile and nod, "Well, it is a pleasure to meet you." I watched as he got up and stood next to him, hoping it wouldn't be a frightening situation. I nod and wait for him to lead the direction he wanted to walk. It could be a great experience to know him though I wasn't one to really go far past boundaries. I stretch slightly, a yawn coming from me. "Sorry, haven't been sleeping lately," I say, shrugging and looking back at Zach with a smile.

Zacharias shrugged. "I don't sleeo much." He rubbed his chest absently, wandering across the grass at a slow canter. He knew a place just through the little grove of treethat not many people thought about exploring. A little pond had formed there from waterththat had collected. He rolled his shoulders quietly, carefully stepping over a stick.

I nod as Zach says that he didn't sleep much and continue to follow him. The grove he walked through was unfamiliar to me so I decided to stay somewhat close, not that it would be much of a problem. I stretch my arms, hearing poppings and sighing before looking around and seeing small yet beautiful flowers. I picked a few and smiled before tapping on Zach's shoulder and offering them to him. "Hope you like them," I say with a chuckle. I wasn't one for buying gifts so this was normal for me.

Zach blinked over at him in surprise. He smiled sheepishly. "Thank...you.." He breathed uncertainly, taking the flowers. Nobody had ever done such a thing like that for him. He took a seat in the moonlight, studying them happily after setting his notebook aside. He gazed out at the water thoughtfully, licking his lips, and his stomach grumbled in complaint.

I smiled over at Zach as he took the flowers and nodded. I sat beside him in the moonlight as he looked over the flowers before I saw him lick his lips. "You hungry?" I ask. I'd be more than willing to take him out to go eat dinner or something if he wanted to though I wouldn't force him to. The water was gorgeous in the moonlight but Zach looked just as well to me. I lean back slightly and look at him though I hope I wasn't creeping him out.

Zach looked down at his stomach. "'Little yeah..." A lot, but he didn't want to admit he was homeless and didn't eat a whole lot. Although it probably wouldn't be too hard to tell, with his ratty purple jeans, V neck with a hole in it, and dirty socks with no shoes. He wiggled his toes as he thought about it and the. He looked up through the trees at the stars.

I smiled and looked him over as he said yeah and nod. "Want to go to my place so I can get you some food?" I ask, hoping he would agree. If he didn't want to, then I'd just bring him to a restaurant and hope he would eat there too. I could tell he was homeless though I didn't treat him like it; I treated him like a normal person. I knew some people liked that better than being treated a charity case. My eyes go to the water for a minute as I think but they're immedietely drawn back to Zack, a smile on my face.

Zacharias bit at one of his lip rings nervously, looking up at him with a shy smile. "Yes please..." He whispered. He couldn't remember the last time he was in a house. He hadn't talked to anyone really in a long time. Wasn't even sure what it was like to have and actual conversation or laugh and joke around. He was the type of person to do so...he just....hadn't in so long he'd kind of forgotten. A few screws loose maybe from when he got beat over the head. He didn't know. He was smart..just...odd he supposed. Uneducated definitely. He could read, write, talk when he wanted. But that was about it. He'd never gone to school...
